Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the Rack Scanner Shopify app, mobile apps and website (the "Service"). By installing or using the Service you agree to them.
1. The Service
Rack Scanner lets merchants and their staff count inventory with a phone camera and update stock levels in Shopify. Features depend on the plan selected.
2. Accounts
Merchants are responsible for the staff they allow to connect devices and for inventory changes made through the Service. App users must keep their passwords confidential. Device connections expire after 24 hours and can be revoked by the merchant at any time.
3. Plans and billing
- Subscriptions are billed every 30 days through Shopify. Free trials convert to paid plans unless cancelled.
- Scan and device limits apply per plan. When a limit is reached, scanning may pause until the next period or an upgrade.
- Uninstalling the app cancels the subscription. Fees already charged are not refunded except where required by law.
4. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service, attempt to access other merchants' data, reverse engineer it, or use it in violation of Shopify's terms or applicable law.
5. Inventory accuracy
Rack Scanner writes the quantities your team submits and warns when stock changed during a count, but you remain responsible for reviewing counts before submitting them.
6. Availability
We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in the three months before the claim.
8. Changes
We may update these terms and will notify merchants of material changes through the app. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
